Philippe Le Jeune receives Commandeur de l'Ordre de Léopold

Wednesday, 18 July 2012

Philippe Le Jeune and Vigo d'Arsouilles. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Belgian rider Philippe Le Jeune has been knighted. The reigning world champion has received the distinction Commandeur de l'Ordre de Léopold, which in English can be translated to Commander of the Order of Leopold – a very highly regarded distinction in Belgium. Le Jeune himself said that he was stunned, and as he is very attached to Belgium it was really something special to be knighted.
