Aachen Grand Prix is known to be one of the most challenging classes within show jumping. All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson. 

Marc Bettinger on McLain Ward's former ride Oh d'Eole. Billy Twomey and Je T'Aime Flamenco were number 19 after the first round - one position away from qualifying for the second round.Christian Ahlmann was named the best rider of CHIO Aachen 2012. And Hans-Dieter Dreher's ride Embassy was named the best horse in show.Preparing for rain!Harrie Smolders and Exquis Walnut de Muze. Laura Kraut and Cedric had a fantastic weekend.Marcus Ehning recieved a price for the most stylish round in Aachen Grand Prix riding Copin van de Broy.The only nine year old Bella Donna jumped the courses like she had done it a million times before. Now she is going to London with her rider Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.Niels Bruynseels with Conisha van de Helle was one of the first riders to start, and had to put up with the rain.Katharina Offel was really happy to clear the first difficult round with Vivant.Philipp Weishaupt with Catoki.Rodrigo Pessoa and Wimsom made it to the second round.Thomas Voss and Carinjo were the first couple to clear the first round, and kept the clears coming. Three clear rounds secured second place.Werner Muff and Kiamon ended as number ten and are now heading for the Olympics.
