Presley Boy has passed away

Tuesday, 12 August 2014

The wonderful Presley Boy with Khaled Al Eid in Aachen. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. At the age of 17 the wonderful stallion Presley Boy (Concorde x Damiro) has passed away. After suffering from colic soon before the Olympic Games in London 2012 the black stallion never made it back to the sport. The colic was followed by laminitis and Presley Boy never fully recovered.

Presley Boy had great success under the Mexican rider Jaime Azcarraga before he was sold to the Equestrian Federation of Saudi Arabia and competed by Khaled Al Eid. Together with Al Eid Presley Boy won the CSI5* Grand Prix in Gijon, was 2nd in the GCT Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi and ended 12th at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.
