Quotes after Dortmund Grand Prix

Sunday, 10 March 2013

It was hard to keep the tears back for Angelina. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. Not only did the 18 year old Angelina Herröder take her biggest win ever today when she won the Dortmund Grand Prix. She also won her first car as three cars were handed out to the top three riders. "It is unbelievable and I still really can't believe that I actually won. After the class I thought it was a dream and it's first now that it starts to sink in a bit. Now I will go home and celebrate with my family and friends," Angelina said at the press conference. "I have had Pico's Boy for about two years now. It worked really good between us already from the beginning, but of course this is our biggest win!"

Kevin Staut was impressed by the quality of the young riders in Germany. "I came here and understood it would be a top show with all the good riders here. And I am really impressed with the level on the German Young riders. This is not like a three star Grand Prix, it is almost like a five star so it is really impressive of Angelina to win this class."

Lars Nieberg said the following about his horse and Angelina's win: "I think my horse is a really good one. I just had her since November, but she has potential, is very careful and I really believe in her. When it comes to Angelina's win, she has already won a lot and she is a very talented rider that is famous for being fast. Even though this is her biggest win she has already beaten really good riders several times."
