Jens Fredricson was really happy with his win today and said it was his biggest individual win in his career. "I think my horse is in good form and to ride in front of this crowd is unbelievable. This morning it felt really good when I schooled Lunatic and I knew I had a chance. He jumped really well in the first round and then I saw Marcus' jump-off and it was very, very fast. I did a bit the same round and my horse doesn't jump so high he is more quick over the fences and lands and runs like a rabbit so I knew that I could have the time."
Second placed Marcus Ehning has been delivering one clear round after another this weekend and he said this at the press conference: "I'm also very happy. I think I had a very good jump-off but was beaten by my friend. He got the perfect round and congrats to him. My whole week here has been great, on Friday we won the Nations Cup and I had a fantastic youngster here from Maria Gretzer and now with Copin - it was a really, really nice weekend here."
"I'm also very happy and that is normal when you are sitting here. My horse actually gave me a good results already on Friday. She had two faults in the first round, but was clear in the second round of the Nations Cup. So that was a good finish and for me a good goal to go in to the Grand Prix today. Today she felt fantastic in the first round and again also in the second round but these boys were too fast for me," third placed Jeroen Dubbeldam explained laughing.
