The Swiss Chef d'Equipe Andy Kistler was very pleased with the victory and said this about his choice of riders; "It is our first Nations Cup for the season and therefore we try to have the strongest possible team here. This was the reason I chose these riders."
Pius Schwizer said some words about the track; "Ulliano once again designed a great course. It was a nice course that was pleasant to ride. He thought about that we had to ride the track twice and that the faults would come on their own when the horses got tired, and from the length of the course. And all the riders know that it is a bit difficult here in Lummen, as the ground in the ring goes a bit up and down - but it is a beautiful ring. "
Steve Guerdat, who didn't have to ride apart from in the prize giving, joked: "It wasn't that difficult at all! And they pick my horse for the doping test!"
The next leg for Switzerland will be in La Baule. Steve Guerdat, Paul Estermann and Pius Schwizer will ride again together with Jane Richard Phillips and Andy commented: "The plan is to get as many points as early on in the season as possible, so that we then can make a good plan in front of the World Equestrian Games."
