Peder Fredricson on his partner H&M Sibon: "He is an amazing horse to have in the stable. He is a real fighter. He doesn't have the biggest canter but he manages anyway and is very fast and careful. I won two cars here last year and I told Sibon's owner Astrid that if I won a car this year she would get it."
Marlon Zanotelli ended second and was named Leading Rider of the show: "It was a very fast jump-off and I knew that Peder and Sibon always are really fast. Jur is also a very fast rider so I knew I had to take some risks to be able to end among the top five and have the chance to become the Leading Rider. I couldn't believe it when I beat the time of Jur and Helena. I was very happy and I knew already then that I would be the Leading Rider and win a car. My horse is a quick horse, but Peder and his horse are very, very fast and normally when they have a good round like they had today they are really hard to beat. I'm very happy with my horse, he did a great job the entire weekend."
Helena Persson about her round: "I was super happy, my horse jumped fantastic. He is 14 and it feels like he is in the form of his lifetime."
Jur Vrieling on the question about him riding VDL Bubalu that is supposed to be retired: "I asked the owners if I could ride VDL Bubalu here in Stockholm. And then he will do one more show in Geneva in two weeks. The horse won a lot in his life and I knew that the owners wanted to retire him at one point to focus on the breeding. When we go to shows and are away for three days or more we have not been able to provide all the breeders with semen. After the World Championships I asked the owners if I could ride him a few more shows and this was one of them. For Bubalu it is nice to be retired when he is fresh and sound."
Marlon about his plans for the rest of the season: "I still have two more shows this year, the World Cup shows in London and Mechelen. From there on and forward we still have to plan. But I will definitely go to the Pan American Games, it is a goal for all the Brazilian riders. Then I'm hoping for the World Cup Final. I already have some points from Oslo and Helsinki."
Jur on his thoughts about the World Cup Final: "Holland has quite a lot of good riders so we all get three shows that we can ride and I got Oslo, Helsinki and London. I caught already quite a lot of points and I hope to get a few more in London to qualify for the final."
Peder about his future plans: "I won't go for the World Cup Final. The next show for me is London in three weeks and then Sibon will have a break. He did the World Championships and then he did Barcelona. After that he had a more quiet time. He will do one smaller show ahead of Gothenburg and then we are aiming for the European Championships next year."
Peder on H&M Sibon's development the last year: "Last year he won all the 1.40 classes here in Stockholm, but we didn't quite believe that he would win the Grand Prix this year. But I have never said that he wouldn't be able to do the big classes. I just did not think it would go so fast. When we were in St. Gallen the plan was to jump Cash In in the Nations Cup, but he wasn't 100% so I had to take Sibon instead. I had no choice really since he was the only other horse I had there. I did not know if he would make it, but then he did it really easy and went double clear. I just need to have him going in the canter and then he has no problem jumping whatever is in front of him."
