Christian Ahlmann on his winning partner; "Codex One is an amazing horse that I have been riding for three years. He had a long break, and now he is back fresh and in unbelievable good form. First in the Nations Cup in Rotterdam, then in the Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen where he was unbelievable – and now here. Today he felt fresh, careful, and fighting for me – I hope I can keep him like that."
Christian Ahlmann on the Longines Global Champions Tour; "Thanks to Longines, and thanks to Jan Tops and his whole team as well as the whole organization of the tour. What they do for the sport is really unbelievable. It's great sport in the competitions, and I hope it will continue like that."
Runner-up Henrik von Eckermann on his jump-off; "I pulled up a little bit to the last, but actually think I lost it on the oxer at three where I also had to pull up a little. Already there I thought to myself 'Ups, that was not so good'. But, then we finished the rest quite well."
Third placed Ludger Beerbaum on the venue in Valkenswaard; "I really enjoy coming here. The developments here – really I must pay my respects to Jan and his team who have improved the venue here year by year. This year there is a new stable area (with permanent stables), the facilities are unbelievable. I like the atmosphere, it's a real horseman show with a lot of space, a lot of opportunity to ride – both at top class level but also bringing with the up- and coming ones to jump the two star classes. I enjoy riding at a grass venue like here, and I personally think the horses love it to. It's a unique show, and I really like it."
Overall leader of the tour Rolf-Göran Bengtsson; "Of course, it is a super feeling to be number one now – but we are not done yet. There are four more shows to go and things can still happen, so I try to stick in there and do my best and maybe also improve my points from for example from Hamburg where I was not so good."
