Only 18 year old Nicola Philippaerts took home the win from the rest of his colleagues and said this about his round: "When I walked the course it looked ok, but then it turned out that the triple combination would cause a lot of problems. My horse was really good! When it was time for the jump-off I saw Penelope and understood that it would be a fast jump-off so I knew that I had to go for it."
"My horse has been fantastic the whole summer but especially this show. The triple combination really caused problems in the first round so I was lucky to have such a scoopy horse. When I saw Penelope, that was first to go in the jump-off, I thought no way. I had a bad turn to the red oxer in the jump-off but got away with it" says Brianne Goutal after her second place.
Peder Fredricson who ended third was the best Swedish rider in the class and he was really pleased with his nine year old H&M Cash In. "I am of course really happy. It is a very special horse that I rode - everything is possible with him and everything is impossible... You never know what's going to happen. He has a great quality but we have to work on the rideability a bit."
