"It was an unbelievable feeling to ride first in the lap of honor in front of this public. I for sure didn't expect it and when it happened it was magical," Nisse Lüneburg said after his win.
Nisse and Calle Cool ended seventh in the Hamburg Derby last year and Carsten-Otto Nagel who used to ride the gelding, has also been second with him one year. "Carsten-Otto has taught Calle Cool everything he needs to know for such a course and I can just thank him and the Moorhof stable for sitting here today," Nisse continued.
Torben Köhlbrand who was the first one in the jump-off said: "Nisse really deserved to win, his horse jumped amazing. My horse jumped really, really well as well, but I needed to risk a bit in the jump-off and then we got the fault. But I am really pleased! My horse is in top condition and he jumped all the classes her in Hamburg really well and today it was just unbelievably fun to ride him."
Judith Emmers that is the first girl for several years to be among top three was happy and thankful. "Christian, my boss, is just as happy as I am and I am so pleased and thankful that the owner let me ride this amazing horse," she said.
