Of course it was an advantage to see the riders before me and especially Christian's round that really inspired me. Then I just have to say that Chaman is in a super shape and when everything comes together it is great. And I couldn't get a better birthday present!" said Ludger after his win.

 Christian Ahlmann, who won the big class yesterday and was second today, said: "I am going home from here with a great feeling. Especially with the fact that Codex One has been so good. In London he and I didn't have the best show and this was the first event for us to together again, and he was back in his old form again and really worked with me. We really went as fast as we could and I thought we had a chance, but now when I see the difference in Ludger and my own time I realize it wasn't bad luck that we didn't win," said Christian laughing.

This event is one of the legs in the DKB Riders Tour and when Ludger got the question about his goal for the year he said: "Everyone knows that my big goal for this year was the Olympics and that didn't happen. But now it is the second part of the year so maybe I should have the DKB Riders Tour as a goal."

Paul Schockemöhle, who is responsible for the DKB Riders Tour, was impressed by Ludger's jump-off ;"I think several riders would have liked to try to beat Ludger´s time today, but I really can't see where it would be possible to save seconds. It was a one of a kind jump-off!"
