Kathi was a bit surprised after the win as Cathleen did her first show after a long break; "My thought was to ride her in a smaller class yesterday, but it didn't fit in the schedule. The first round felt great and she really gave me a good feeling. I knew it would be a fast jump-off so I went for it and was lucky it was fast enough. I will problably ride her in the Grand Prix because she felt really good. I do have another horse with me that can do the Grand Prix as Charlie is back after an injury, but I think I will rely on Cathleen. Charlie did a class yesterday and also gave me a really good feeling."
Jeroen Dubbeldam rode Utasha to a second place; "I was a bit surpriced after our result in Bremen last week, and it gave me a wake-up call. My plan wasn't to bring Utasha to Dortmund, but as Den Bosch is our next show I couldn't have such a show as Bremen as our last one before that. Here she jumped great yesterday and she gave me a good feeling today so now I feel better for next weekend, and Utasha doesn't have to jump tomorrow. I will instead ride Quality Time tomorrow. He wasn't in Bremen last weekend, but did Neumünster the weekend before and jumped great all three days. He was a bit to fresh yesterday, but I hope it will be good until tomorrow."
Marc Bettinger will decide which horse to ride in tomorrow's Grand Prix after the class this evening. The German rider who is based in Belgium explained his choice to live in Belgium like this: "I got a great offer and got the opportunity to go there to ride. It has been the best that could have happened to me."
