Reed Kessler produced an amazing round on Soraya de l’Obstination (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Skippy II) to take home the win in the speed class in Valkenswaard Saturday. It really didn´t look as fast as it rode, but Reed kept a great rythm and used Soraya´s huge stride to cover ground around the big grass ring – crossing the finish line on a time of 55.99 seconds. Runner-up was yesterday´s speed class winner Patrice Delaveau on Quenndal de Lojou (Le Tot de Semilly), who was almost a second behind Reed at 56.86 seconds. Third around the 11 fence track was another notoriously fast rider; Hans-Dieter Dreher on Colore (Contender x Lord) at a time of 57.04 seconds.
