Rich Fellers was named 2012 USEF Equestrian of the Year this weekend. Eight equestrians were nominated for the award and Fellers went on to win at the USEF Pegasus Awards that where held on Saturday. Rich Fellers was the first American in 25 years to win the Rolex FEI World Cup Final in 2012, and the highest placed U.S. equestrian at the 2012 Olympic Games. Rich and Flexible also won the $100,000 Hermes Grand Prix of Del Mar and the $200,000 CN Performance Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows in 2012.
It was a good weekend for Fellers as his partner Flexible was honored as well; the Cruising-son became 2012 USEF International Horse of the Year.
