Rotterdam Grand Prix in Images

Tuesday, 26 June 2012

Patrice Delaveau and Orient Express HDC in total focus over the first fence. All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

The weather was really unpredictable and some riders had to cope with heavy rain - here Claudia Gisler and Touchable.Denis Lynch and Lantinus ended fifth after being double clear. Exquis Walnut de Muze jumped really well, but the last fence stopped her and Harrie from taking the lead as they crossed the finishline. The young Dutch rider Hendrik-Jan Schuttert did a really good job and ended sixth with Cerona HS.Just look at this fantastic horse! Gangster with Jamie Azcarraga. And we like the small patriotic colour balls in his mane.Lunatic and Jens Fredricson have really shown everyone what they are capable of over the last months.  The Grand Prix in Rotterdam was no exception!Jos Lansink with Cavalor Valentina van´t Heike did qualify for the jump-off, but chose not to ride.Laura Kraut and Cedric didn't make the Olympic team, but they for sure showed off in Rotterdam with a second place in the GP and a win in the 1.55 class on Thursday.Ludo Philippaerts riding Challenge vd Begijnakker had to see himself beaten by his son in the Grand Prix. The winners - Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof's Tamino!Copin van de Broy, with Marcus Ehning in the saddle once again showed his speed. Four faults stopped them from a top ranking though.Fastest of them all! Nicola Philippaerts and Carlos VHPZ were the fastest combination in the jump-off, but a fence fell on their way through the course.Philipp Weishaupt and Monte Bellini make everything look so easy!Rik Hemeryck really bounced back after the Nations Cup and cleared the first round in the Grand Prix.Nice jumping Zipper with Sergio Alvarez Moya.Third in the class - Simon Delestre and Napoli du Ry.
