Scott Brash and Bon Ami speed to a win in Aachen

Thursday, 05 July 2012

Scott Brash and Bon Ami. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. As the rain arrived in Aachen Scott Brash went and won the Preis der Soers as a warm up before tonight’s Nations Cup. Aboard Bon Ami Brash beat the speedy Bosty by 0,24 seconds. Bosty for sure tried his best to best to beat Brash’s time as he rode Castle Forbes Vivaldo van het Costervelds like a speed machine around the big arena in Aachen, but had to leave the arena with a disappointed look in his face. Christian Ahlmann secured third place with Lorena 111 with another German rider Rolf Moorman on fourth.

The course was made with elleven fences and two combinations without any special challenges besides the fact that Aachen in itself is awesome. Rolf-Göran Bengtsson was riding Ninja La Silla again today. We have not seen his super star gelding in a long time, and he looked to be in great shape.
