Sea Coast Forlap DC to Alexander Onischenko

Thursday, 26 June 2014

Gregory Wathelet and Sea Coast Forlap DC in the Nations Cup in Lummen earlier this year. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Sea Coast Forlap DC (Querlybet Hero x Heartbreaker) will in the future be seen flying the Ukrainian flag, and his new rider is Cassio Rivetti. To World of Showjumping Rivetti says; “The plan is that Forlap will arrive in my stable on Monday, and I hope to ride him in Paris the following weekend already. The feeling I have on him is really good, he reminds me of Vivant. It is surely amazing to get a horse of that caliber to ride, I did not expect that so of course I am very excited. Forlap is definitely an option for the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, but first I have to do a few shows with him to see that everything goes according to plan.”

The nine year old has had huge success under Belgium's Gregory Wathelet; this year the couple was double clear in the CSIO5* Nations Cup in Lummen and La Baule, and they were also second in the Grand Prix in Doha in March. Last year the two won the five star Grand Prix in La Coruna, in addition to continuously impressing on the European circuit.

It is Alexander Onischenko who has bought Sea Coast Forlap DC to strengthen the Ukrainian team. The horse sale went through Stephan Conter at Stephex Stables.
