Several countries are hoping for WEG 2018

Several countries want to arrange WEG 2018. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.As many as seven countries have been sending in a formal expression of interest to host the FEI World Equestrian Games 2018. The deadline was at midnight the 15th of November.

It is Australia, Canada, Morocco, Hungary, Russia, USA and Sweden that are all hoping to get the championship, and it is a record that so many has been sending in their request.

FEI will now send out the details about the bidding process, the timeline and requirements for hosting the WEG to the seven countries.

The FEI World Equestrian Games are held every four years and includes all FEI disciplines; Jumping, Dressage and Para-Equestrian Dressage, Eventing, Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining.
