The French website Equidia.fr reports that Silvana de Hus is sold to Haras des Coudrettes. Kevin will remain the rider of Silvana (Corland x Widor), who up until now has been owned by Kevin Staut’s sponsor Xavier Marie at Haras de Hus. Haras des Coudrettes – that also owns Patrice Delaveau’s rides Orient Express and Ornella Mail – has thus secured Silvana’s future on the French team. The purchase is reported to have happened after an initiative from Delaveau, who was keen to keep Silvana and Kevin together under the French flag. According to Equidia.fr the mare has been very sought after ahead of the Olympics in London; the Ukrainian team being one of the many interested purchasers.
Silvana and Kevin has had huge success together; they were on the French team who got silver at the WEG, they were on the silver medal team at the Europeans in Madrid this summer and they have won many big classes together including the World Cup qualifier in Geneva in 2010. It would thus have been a big loss if the mare went out of the country, especially as Michel Robert's ride Kellemoi de Pepita was sold to Qatar a few days ago.
