Sören Pedersen and Tailormade Cavetta (Careful x Grannus) won the CSIO3* 150 class in Odense on Thursday night. The class was against the clock and had 80 horses and riders in it. Sixteen riders cleared the Grand Prix qualifier while another six riders cleared the fences, but ended with one or more time penalties.
Pedersen came in towards the end of the class, and took over the lead from Samuel Parot and William Wallace who had been in the ring just ahead of the Danish rider. Home rider Lars Bak Andersen and Liconto del Pierre (Limbus x Contender) had been in the lead for almost the entire class, but in the end the pair had to settle for third place.
Fourth place went to Martina Meroni with Socrates II (Calvados x Nimmerdor) while Jody van Gerwen with Tantalus (Namelus R x Faram) ended fifth.
At the CSI3* show in Kapellen it was also a home win in the biggest class of the day, as Koen Vereecke took home the 1.45 class riding Fetard de la Pomme (Querlybet Hero x Nabab de Reve). The Belgian rider produced one of twelve clears in this speed class, but was the fastest of all on the time of 63.17. Over a second behind followed Karim El Sogby from Egypt on Amelia, while Harrie Smolders was third on Enjoy Louis (Coriano x Kannan).
