Steve Guerdat not aiming for Leipzig

Wednesday, 23 February 2011

Steve Guerdat. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. The Swiss rider has decided to grant a time-out for his top horses Jalisca Solier and Tresor, and will thus not aim towards the world cup-final in Leipzig in late April. The 28 year old rider is currently ranked as nr. 23 in the standings with 29 points, and with good results in the remaining shows Guerdat would have had a realistic chance of a place in the final.

Urs Grüning, Chef d’Equipe for Switzerland, explains that Guerdat will direct all his attention towards the highlight of the year - the European championships in Madrid.
