WoSJ made a short visit to Oldenburg Pferdetage this weekend, a two-star show in Germany and here is a summary in pictures.

The eight year old mare Corlanda OLD (Cordalme Z – Landcapitol) sealed the deal when she easily won the 145/150 class on Friday night. Both she and her rider Mario Stevens - from Germany - for sure know how to give it all in a jump-off. They were also in the jump-off on Saturday, but here Mario chose to make one stride extra after a short turn and that resulted in four faults. Instead Maikel van der Vleuten with VDL Groep Sapphire (Mr.Blue – Grand Veneur) ended up at the top. Mario Stevens. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.

The young stallion Cristallo (Cornet Obolensky – Cassini I) did an excellent job being clear in the second 150-class of his life. He even made it look really easy with the Swede Henrik von Eckermann in the saddle.

In the Grand Prix on Sunday the Belgian-based American Peter Wylde ended up at the top, with Sanctos van het Gravenhof (Quasimodo VD Molendreef – Nabab de Reve). The second place went to the German rider Joachim Heyer with Aquino (Argentinus – Zeus) before Marc Houtzager from Netherlands with the eight year old Voltaire (Now or Never – Acord II), who looked really good the whole weekend.
