Piergiorgio Bucci won in Poznan. Photo by Katarzyna Boryna.In Poznan the 4* Grand Prix went to Italy’s Piergiorgio Bucci on Casallo (Casall x Carthago Z). Bucci had the fastest of six double clear rounds in the class with the time of 35,84 seconds in the jump-off, leaving Abdullah Al Sharbatly to second on Henk van der Pol’s former rider Chesterfield with the time 36,44 seconds. Third was Holland’s Leon Thijssen on Tyson (Numero Uno x Voltaire), with a time of 36,67 seconds.

The 4* 1.60 Grand Prix in Lisbon was won by Ireland’s Niall Talbot aboard Nicos de la Cense (Eyken des Fontenis x Le Tot de Semilly). Talbot had one of six double clears in this class, which also counted no less than six eliminated riders and fourteen that retired. With a time of 42,03 seconds Talbot was the best rider in the jump-off, leaving Belgium’s Pieter Devos to second on Dream of India Greenfield (Gem of India x Night and Day) on the time of 42,21. Rumain Duguet ended third on Le Prestige St. Lois (Quidam de Revel x Grand Veneur), not far behind the top two at 42,66 seconds. Ireland's super talented Betram Allen had the fastest time in the jump-off, but it came on the expense of one fence down and he had to settle for 8th.

French riders dominated the 4* Franconville Grand Prix with Julien Epaillard on Qarat de la Loge (by Dollar du Murier SF),Michel Robert with Oh d'Eole (by Kannan) and Michel Hecart aboard Quatrin de la Roque (by Quick Star) as the top three riders. Epaillard and Robert had the only two double clears of the class, and only fractions separated them in the jump-off. Steven Whitaker and Follow Me II ended fourth ahead of Abdelkebir Quaddar on Quickly de Kreisker (by Diamant de Semilly) and Eiken Sato on Talent (by Mermus).

In London Marco Kutscher won the 1.50/1.60 class on his faithful 17 year old partner Cash (Carthago x Lavall II/). It was a strong jump-off with thirteen riders in it, but fastest of them all was the German rider who had a time of 37,64 seconds and one of six double clears. Runner-up was yesterday’s Grand Prix winner Ben Maher, this time on Tripple X III (Namelus R x Cantango) with a time of 38,53 seconds. Third was in-form Luciana Diniz on Fit For Fun 13 (For Pleasure x Fabriano) who crossed the finish line in 38,88 seconds.
