The CSI 2* Grand Prix in Valkenswaard went to Katharina Offel and Cathleen (Cordobes x Ramiro’s Son) after a speedy jump-off in the burning sun. Offel was one of 20 riders who produced a clear first round to continue on to the jump-off. Many of the riders looked like they had stolen their horses, but Offel was the fastest one of them all with a brilliant and controlled round. With the time 38.39 Offel was nearly a second faster than Thierry Rozier in second place and almost three seconds faster than Alois Pollman-Schwekhorst in third.
In Dublin, Carsten-Otto Nagel and Corradina showed that they are back - taking home the five star Longines Grand Prix. Nagel and Corradina missed the Olympics as Corradina was not completely in shape after tooth problems earlier this year, but today the stunning white mare was back to her winning self producing two clear rounds and by far the fastest time in the jump-off. Second place went to Kevin Staut on Reveur de Hurtebise *HDC. In addition to Nagel, Staut was the only rider to produce two clear rounds. Cian O'Connor claimed third place on Blue Loyd with four faults in the first round.
The three star show in Hachenburg went to Pia-Louise Aufrecht on MCB Ulke. The German rider produced one of four double clears. Runner-up was Daniel Deusser on Cornet D'Amour, while Sören Pedersen was third on Tailormade Esperanza de Rebel.
