Monday, 29 September 2014

Pablo Barrios and Antares won the CSI3* Grand Prix in La Bagnaia. Photo provided by CSI La Bagnaia. The CSI3* Grand Prix in La Bagnaia went to Venezuela's Pablo Barrios and Antares (Manhattan x Cavalier). Barrios had one of four double clear rounds in the class, and left two home riders behind him as Filippo Marco Bologni and Fixdesign Chopin (Quantum x Corofino I) ended second and Davide Sbarbella third on Triomphe van Schuttershof (Oklund x Nabab de Reve). Almost six seconds separated the winner and the runner-up in the jump-off. For his fast win Barrios got a brand new Lexus Nx 300 Hybrid Luxury.

At the Longines Los Angeles Masters, Paige Johnson won the CSI2* Airbus Grand Prix after taking all risks in the jump-off with her 9-year-old Oldenburger gelding Luke Skywalker 46 (Lord Pezi x Sandro Song). To win this Airbus Grand Prix, with a little margin of 14 hundredths, was not an easy job knowing that Paige had to be faster than Jack Towell who had already won two Prestige classes on Thursday and Friday aboard Lucifer V (Lord Dezi x Grandeur). Third place went to Tina Di Landri on Valencia (Indoctro x G.Ramiro).
