Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Qatar's Hamad Ali Mohamed A Al Attiyah won the Indoor Derby in Den Bosch on Saturday. The entertaining class – where the riders race out the corridor to jump two fences in the warm-up is always fun to watch, and this year's edition was no exception. Riding Qatar Armed Forces' Levicci (Levisto x Anthonysdream) Hamad Ali Mohamed A Al Attiyah produced the only clear round of the Derby class, and also the fastest, to take the win. Home rider Maikel van der Vleuten was second on VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice x Caletto I), but with one down. Third place went to Nicola Philippaerts on Esprit van de Wellington (Orlando x Gratianus), also he on four faults.

The first five star class of the day went to the Netherland's Gerco Schröder on Zamora (Quasimodo Z x Nimmerdor). The 1.40 class had only sixteen riders in it, with half of them producing clear rounds. The Dutch rider was the fastest one though, with over two seconds down to Steve Guerdat on Catalina CH (Conterno Grande x Limelight). Denis Lynch finished third on Coulisa (Conterno Grande x Limelight)
