The European Championship team competition in images - part two

Wednesday, 21 August 2013

Gotta love this horse; Balloon jumped the only clear for Ireland on Wednesday with Shane Breen in the saddle. Photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

Another one that impressed was Jos Verlooy - only 17 and riding his first senior championship. On Domino he rode his second clear of the competition in just as many days. Jur Vrieling and VDL Bubalu had one of Holland's two clears. Luca Moneta has done a brilliant job with Neptune Brecourt - and was clear on Wednesday for Italy, just as he was on the first day of the championships.  Ludger Beerbaum delivered on Chiara - a beautiful clear round for Germany.  Another living legend that was clear was Michael Whitaker on Viking - helping Great Britain to the lead in the team competition. Paul Estermann and Castlefield Eclipse continue to deliver for Switzerland, and were clear in Wednesday's team competition. Sky high; Corinana van Klapscheut. Rolf-Göran Bengtsson did his work well and was clear on Casall Ask to push himself up to fourth on the individual standing. Thomas Sandgaard rode well on Amarone only to have 8b down and a time penalty for the host nation. Scott Brash and Hello Sanctos look to be in form - and en route to more medals! Satu Liukkonen for Finland on Celestine. Carlo 273 jumped amazing today and was clear with Sergio Alvarez Moya - they are now 8th on the individual standing. Norway's Stein Endresen did a very nice round on Cassiopeia, with only four faults. They are so amazing this couple; Steve Guerdat and Nino des Buissonnets!
