The Grand Prix winners in Bremen and Gent

Hans-Thorben Rüder and Orlanda won the Grand Prix in Bremen on Sunday. Here seen in Neumünster. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.The Grand Prix of Bremen went to home rider Hans-Thorben Rüder and Orlanda (Julio Mariner xx x Caretino). The German rider had one of eight clear rounds in the 1.55 class, and with a time of 58.32 seconds he was over two seconds faster than runner-up Sören Pedersen from Denmark on Tailormade Esperanza de Rebel (Rebel Z I x Corofino I). Another German rider came third; Jana Wargers aboard Manou (Contifax x Argentinus) on 62.30 seconds.

Jan Vinckier from Belgium won the Euroclassics overall on Emilie de Diamant AS (Diamant de Semilly x Flipper d’Elle). Vinckier ended fourth in the first section of the Euroclassics yesterday, and today he was clear again and sixth in the Grand Prix – and as the only rider with a clean sheet he took home the overall win.

The two star Grand Prix in Gent was won by Wout-Jan van der Schans on Sacramento (Leendert x Corlando). With three double clears in the class, the fastest time belonged to the Dutch rider who was over a second faster than British rider Joe Clee on Wineda (Oklund x Corland). A little behind Clee was home rider Bert Prouvé aboard Cadida vh Provahof (Lux x Elanville).
