Saturday, 27 September 2014

Jane Richard Philips won the Longines Speed Challenge in Los Angeles. Photo (c) Tiffany Van Halle.Switzerland's Jane Richard Philips made it a fitting win in Friday's Longines Speed Challenge at the Longines Los Angeles Masters. As ambassador for the Swiss watch manufacturer, Jane Richard Philips made her sponsors proud as she won the class on Dieudonne de Guldenboom (Nabab de Reve x Gibramino).

Only 0.16 seconds separated the Swiss rider and runner-up Constant van Paesschen on Citizenguard Million Dreams (Diamant de Semilly x Concetto) in this 1.45 speed class, with Jane pocketing the first prize of 43 725 USD. After the class, Jane commented on her win with saying she of course was very happy about her horse, and the victory - especially for her sponsor Longines.

Third place went to another Swiss rider; Steve Guerdat on Albfuehren's Memphis (Quinar x Carthago).
