On Thursday Ludo Philippaerts won the 1.50 class in St. Gallen, on Saturday it was his son Olivier's turn. Riding Zilverstar (Berlin x Cavalier), the Belgian rider came in towards the end of the fourteen horse jump-off in the second 1.50 Grand Prix qualifier of the show to take yet another win for the Philippaerts-trio that is present at the Swiss event. Riding a blistering fast and beautiful second round Olivier stopped the clock on 41.75 seconds, pushing home rider Romain Duguet on Otello du Soleil (Alligator Fontaine) down to second – with their time of 41.95. Third was Jessica Kürten on Cool and Easy (Contender x Riverman) who as first to go set the time to beat at 43.65 seconds. All three Philippaerts were in the jump-off; Nicola ended 5th and Ludo 8th.
The 1.45 class – a table C competition – went to Great Britain's William Whitaker on Upperclass (Concorde x Indoctro). Whitaker was clear and had the fastest time of the day at 73.44, leaving Eiken Sato on Soory de L'Hallali to second in a time of 73.86. Third place went to home rider Emilie Stampflie on Nikita du Lout (Flipper d'Elle x Si tu Viens).
