The Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final – The riders in it: Steve Guerdat

Monday, 25 November 2013

Steve Guerdat and Nino des Buissonnets at the Europeans this summer. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. The fourth rider we present for the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final is Steve Guerdat. Steve is reining Olympic Champion on Nino des Buissonnets, and World Cup vice-champion for two years in a row – both in 2012 and in 2013 he was second with Nino. When he rode the Top 10 Final on home soil last year he was world nr. one, this year he is rank nine.

After a great start to the World Cup season with runner-up positions in Oslo, Helsinki and Stuttgart – Steve is in the lead of the Western European League and looks secure for the final in Lyon next year. With Nasa Steve was second on the Rolex Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows in September, and he was also on the second placed Swiss team in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Consolation Final in Barcelona.

Steve has won the Top 10 Final before; in 2010 on home soil in Geneva.
