The WoSJ guest blogger; Reed Kessler - I haven't laughed so hard in a long time

Sunday, 11 August 2013

The puissance.Ok I'm having a bit of a 4 fault show and I'm hoping it is going to change tomorrow! Soraya was really fast in the speed this morning but had a fault at the wall and no clean round for Goose either in the big class. The horses have all gone well all week so hopefully we can put it together tomorrow! The Americans won both classes - Mclain won the speed and Kent won the the big class!

After we were finished for the day, my two grooms here, Stacey and Anna, went to the Alessandro/ Horseware booth where they were treated to some really nice clothes. What a lovely sponsor to give things not just for me but for my whole team :)

I came back to the show a little later to watch the Puissance. The horses were jumping really wel l- I was surprised that there were so many clean as it got to be really big. Daniel Bluman won and honestly I haven't laughed so hard in a long time because he was really pumping up the crowd. As he landed from the second to last round he grabbed a tiny Irish flag from inside his boot and started waving it to the crowd who was going crazy. I was sitting next to Cassio and Uli in the VIP who were cheering him on and screaming in Spanish - it was a very fun class!

After an early dinner with my parents I'm back home, going to bed nice and early, and hoping that my luck will change for tomorrow! Goose goes late in the speed final and Cylana also has a good draw in the grand prix going 34th!
