The WoSJ guest blogger; Reed Kessler - covered on the speed front!

Sunday, 14 April 2013

Reed and Bosti pair upDay 3 in Paris- I have very mixed motions about today- I was the fastest in both classes- by quite a big margin in the first- but had rails!

To be the fastest against the top 30 is quite an accomplishment but to be so close to glory and have a rail at the end is so annoying!!! No one was touching Hansi's time in the first speed of 54 seconds- I was 2 seconds faster but a bit too fast into the combination at the very end!! In the pairs class Bosty and I were both very fast but I had the last jump down. If I can just jump clean tomorrow I will be a very happy girl because I think I'm covered on the speed front...

Reed and LigistAfter I finished showing I had a nice workout in the gym downstairs and then headed to dinner with two American friends here to watch, Alex Crown and Molly Hay. Molly and I rode at the same barn when we were younger and Alex is like my adopted little sister. We went to Brasserie Flotte which was very good. We wanted to go to La Soufflerie or Buddha Bar but both were full- still our dinner was very good and it was great to catch up with some American friends since I spend most of this year out of the country. I'm sad tomorrow is the last day- it is so tragic that we spend 3 months in Wellington but only 3 days in Paris!! Wish me luck tomorrow- Goose has the speed class and Cylana goes last in the Grand Prix!
