Cylana's usual expression in the barn...Today was a pretty easy day as I only had the night class. Finally it stopped raining during the day! My mom went in the grand prix ring in the medium amateurs and rode really well. She was clear on one horse and had one down on her new horse so she was very happy. She does the medium classic tomorrow for the first time so she is very excited!

After cheering on mom, I rode the horses in FEI. Onisha was quite fresh and Cylana pretended to be super tired but I knew that later under the lights she would be crazy. She has French trotter in her bloodlines and when she is fresh she almost hits her face with her knees they are so high!

Hanging out at the barn is always fun- all the girls who work for me have such fun senses of humor! Today Nicola was the one being mocked. Apparently she was trying to be frugal by saving the rubber bands from the plaits in the horses' manes and reusing them. The other girls pointed out that that meant she had them in her mouth while plaiting, put them back in the tub, and the other girls used them and did the same! We are close in the barn but not trading-saliva-close.... The girls mocked her pretty relentlessly however I pointed out that my Dad probably appreciated her saving money! But I don't think rubber bands cost so much... lolCarly is a "service dog"

It was cold tonight!!! Carly dressed warmly though :)After a run and a little nap it was time to head back to the show. As usual, Florida weather is crazy and changing all the time- it dropped down to 40 degrees tonight! The horses were wild- when I came down the schooling area Cylana looked like any minute she was going to break away from poor Stacey! I love when she is fresh though- she acts crazy but as soon as she starts jumping she is totally focused.

She jumped a gorgeous round and I had the lightest rail at b of the combination behind. It was so light I did not even realize I had it down until I saw the board towards the end of the course. It was really a shame because she jumped fantastic. But I think she is definitely ready for the nations cup in 2 weeks. Katie (my trainer) was super and unfortunately just had the back rail of the last jump and a timefault. We were both quite irritated as we were both so close to perfect rounds! Better luck CSIO week... Congrats to Beezie, Katie Dinan, and Shane. Beezie's jumpoff was incredible, especially her turn from 1 to 2, it would have been difficult to beat!

Tomorrow my mom and dad both show and I have the 1.50. I haven't had great luck this week so I hope it changes tomorrow!
