All bundled up!Today was the last day of sowing for week 6 of WEF and thank goodness because I definitely did not have my best week of the circuit! My mom did the mediums for the first time this morning and was really good. She had one down on each but was really happy to do her biggest course so nicely! After that I rode in FEI which took a while because Mika was quite fresh as it was so incredibly cold! Then I headed home to ride a couple. I played over a course of really small jumps with Wolf which was fun. He is so much quality in his jump but he can sometimes be a bit difficult to turn so I practiced some short turns and my dad made up some mini jump-offs for me. It is so fun to have parents who have ridden their whole lives because we can give each other input when we are at home and they really understand what is going on with all of my horses.

Later it was time for the 1.50. I did not have a very good go and that is putting it gently! I fell off Onisha after she swam the oxer coming out of the triple combination. I thought I could stay on for a minute but my saddle slipped over her side and there was no hope! Mika however jumped really well and just had an early rail.

Right after I finished I ran over to help my Dad in the masters which we joke is the most exciting and important division of the show. He finished third which sounds good but not for my Dad- he wins every class every week so third is actually a HUGE disappointment lol! He rode well and his horses jumped great but he could have been a little faster from 1 to 2. Of course I can't criticize because at least he stayed on!!!

Carly has had enough of week 6....You have to love show jumping- one minute you are on top of the world and the next you are on the ground.... it has been one of those weeks! What is truly funny is that because of the way the rider rankings work I think I will somehow move up to number one even though I had a pretty pathetic showing this week besides the grand prix!

We will take this coming week off from showing I think and rest up for the second half of of the circuit. WEF is so long in the same place with the same jumps it is important to take some time to rest. Although I;m not sure how much resting I will be doing- I feel a significant amount of no stirrups work coming my way...

After this quiet week is the most important week in my schedule this season- the nations cup! The team should be me, kent, laura, and beezie. I joke that a lot of the time after I have a good fall I do something really great after. It happened before the trials in Florida last year, in kentucky, and also in spruce meadows! So I'm going to stay upbeat in saying I feel a big win coming hopefully for the United States!

Hope you've enjoyed my blog this week, it's always a pleasure. Maybe next time I write I can add some better results!!
