The WoSJ guest blogger; Reed Kessler - some of the best atmosphere I've ever seen

Huge crowd for the nations cup.Yesterday was a very quiet day for me as I was the 5th on the team this week. I had an easy morning and flatted the three horses at 9. I rode nice and early so that my head girl, Stacey, got to spend the rest of the day with her family who flew in to see her. I was happy to finally meet them because we love miss Stacey and it was no surprise her parents are just as lovely as she is! After I finished, I headed back to the hotel and hit the gym. It is really rare I have a day without showing- it was so strange heading back for the nations cup in normal clothes!

The Irish team. The U.S. team finished 3rd tied with Ireland. It was quite a big course and rails fell pretty evenly all around the track. The pinstripe double was tricky as was the triple combination and the last jump. Mclain was very good clear in the first round and unlucky losing a shoe in the second round at the first jump and slipped a bit to have a cheap 4 faults. Katie was super- she had 12 faults in the first round but rode well and came back to jump a beautiful clean round. Luck wasn't with Kent and he had a couple rails each round but improved in the second.

View from the gym.And of course Beezie the superstar was double clean AGAIN this week! She really is amazing! It is so cool to get to ride next to her on these teams because she has always been a big hero of mine and to see her perform like a machine week after week is really inspiring. She'll be world number 1 soon- I can't wait!!! :) Big congrats to the Brits on their win. A really clutch anchor ride being double clean by Scott Brash sealed the deal for them- they needed a good result to qualify for Barcelona and they did it in style! It was a great day at the show, some of the best atmosphere I've ever seen. The crowd was really passionate and pushing for their home riders.

After the Nations Cup was all finished I had a nice dinner with my sponsor, Alessandro Albanese, at a trendy restaurant called Roast and we headed off to the hotel party for some fun. I met up with Daley who always provides endless entertainment! Today Soraya does the accumulator and Goose jumps the big class! xx
