The WoSJ guest blogger from the Asian Games; Samantha Lam

Saturday, 20 September 2014

Next weekend the showjumping kicks off at the Asian Games in Incheon, Korea and World of Showjumping is so lucky as to have Hong Kong showjumper Samantha Lam guest blogging from the championships. Lam will compete with her horse Adonis, a nine year old gelding by Pino x Lancer II. Flying from Europe to Incheon, Lam gives a first brief update on their arrival. The jumping competitions will be on from the 28-30th of September.

Hi everybody,

On Friday the Hong Kong showjumping horses arrived in Incheon. All the horses arrived well but tired after a 22 hour trip. The horses have to pass an identification control before entering the stables. The whole Hong Kong team of grooms, riders, our team vet, and farrier were there to receive the horses and help unload all the equipment.

We are all jet lagged and ready for some rest!

My groom Sam and my horse Adonis are in high spirits though despite the long trip, as you can see from the photos.

Best wishes,

Samantha
