The allocation for the World Cup Final 2016 postponed

Saturday, 03 August 2013

According to Tidningen Ridsport the allocation for the Longines FEI World Cup Final in 2016, that is supposed to take place in Gotheburg, has been postponed. The reason is that the Swedish Animal Welfare law forbids treatments that are allowed according to the FEI Veterinary Regulations. Also the allocation for the European Championships for ponies that are planned to take place in Malmö in 2015 have been postponed.

The Swedish Federation and the FEI are in contact with the Swedish authorities to see what they can do about the differences between the Swedish Animal Welfare law and the FEI Veterinary Regulations, and hopefully they will find a solution.
