This weekend Florian Angot won the 4* Grand Prix de Caen with the stallion Made In Semilly. Angot has previously won the Grand Prix de Caen three times - in 2004, 2006 and 2007- aboard his now retired stallion First de Launay. This weekend Angot made a true comeback on the international scene together with the SF-stallion Made In Semilly. The win in the Grand Prix GDE of Caen is the stallion’s second victory on international level, but the first victory in a Grand Prix. The stallions has already showed his qualities in the Grand Prix of Lisbon, where he was fourth.
Lauren Hough on Prezioso from the American team was the runner-up to Angot, and proves herself a competitor that should not be underestimated. Last summer, she won the Global Champions Tour of Hamburg. She was impressed by the shows quality, the ground, the organizing team and said that she was very positive about the success of Normandie 2014.
The organizers – according to a press release – are now dreaming of a fifth star for the CSI4* show in Caen. The showground is in the Lower Normandy, and a fifth star would be deserved on the way towards the WEG 2014.
