41 competitors from 20 different countries will take part in the Longines FEI World Cup Final 2014. The final takes place in Lyon on the 17-21 of April. Last year's winning couple Beezie Madden and Simon will be there to defend their title, and the US has as many as eleven riders who will try to make sure that the title goes home to America for a third year in a row.
Marcus Ehning - three times World Cup Final winner - has the possibility to be the first rider ever to win the final four times. He is bringing Cornado NRW - who has been in top form lately - to Lyon. Marcus will celebrate his 40th birthday during the event; will he get the birthday present in the form of winning the final?
The number one on the Longines Ranking - Scott Brash - will compete with the number one horse on the WBFSH ranking - Ursula XII. And the reigning Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat will compete with both Nino des Buissonnets and Nasa.
