With the tours going on all over Europe, a few Grand Prix classes have been taking place. On home soil in Barbizon, Roger Yves Bost won the CSI2* Grand Prix on Colombo van den Blauwaert (Nabab de Reve x Skippy II). With a time that was over three second faster in the jump-off than that of Philippe Lazare aboard the Orlando-son Rivage de Poilley – victory was secured for Bosty. Benjamin Barbot on O'z du Moulin (Artos) ended third, and then followed no less than four more French riders on top of the result list.
In Cagnes-Sur-Mer it was home rider Jean Luc Mourier and Platine Saint Amour (Tarzan Moussure x Nuriel) that took home the CSI2* Grand Prix with a double clear round. In second followed another French rider; Julien Mesnil on the Diamant de Semilly-daughter Perle du Marais – with 0.56 seconds separating the two riders. Third was Switzerland's Faye Schoch on Nouvelle Europe Z (Nelson Z x Jimtown).
At the CSI3* tour in Arezzo, it was home rider Giulia Martinengo Marques and Fixdesign Funke van't Heike (Action Breaker x Grandeur) that topped the Grand Prix with two time penalties after two rounds. Runner-up was Alexandr Belekhov on Viceroy (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Burggraaf) with three time penalties. Then followed Jessica Mendoza in third – representing Great Britain – on Spirit T (Tornado x Carnaval Drum), also she with an overall score of three time penalties.
In Oliva the Grand Prix has been re-scheduled for next week after heavy rainfall this morning.
