The world champion! Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Philippe Le Jeune from Belgium - on Vigo d’Arsouilles - is crowned World Champion. A fantastic achievement, after four clear rounds on four different horses at tonight’s Top Four at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Le Jeune was in a league of his own, not only because of his perfect riding but also because of his fantastic way with the horses.

Saudia Arabia’s Abdullah Al Sharbatly got the silver medal, after riding clear and very well on all the horses – except for his own. Al Sharbatly had two fences down on the Emillion-mare Seldana di Campalto, the b and c element in the tripple combination. After riding clear on HH Rebozo, securing silver - Al Sharbatly raised his arms towards the sky in triumph.

Eric Lamaze won the bronze. He had one fence down on Seldana di Campalto, and a fence down - the b element in the tripple combination - as well as a time fault on HH Rebozo. Lamaze was clear on his own Hickstead and Vigo d’Arsouilles.Rodrigo Pessoa ended up as nr. 4 with a total of twelve faults – he had two fences down on Vigo - fences five and six, and a vertical down on his own HH Rebozo.

Hickstead was clear with all four riders, making him the best horse!

A class act from Philippe Le Jeune, and so deserved!
