Tim Stockdale back in the saddle

Wednesday, 15 February 2012

Stockdale is aiming for the Olympics. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. The British rider Tim Stockdale, who broke his neck in three places in the middle of October 2011, has started to ride again. "I just did a little walking with a horse, and a little trot. The feeling was fantastic," Stockdale said to Horses.nl.

Tim is now aiming for the Olympics even though he knows it won't be easy. "I'm not saying it is going to be easy to make it to the selection for the Olympics, but it's also not impossible."

Stockdale was in the hospital for six weeks after the injury before he could return home in the end of November. The doctors would have preferred for Tim to not start riding before the summer, but with Tim aiming for the Olympics in London it wasn't that much time left.
