Two new horses for Nordic Lights Farm

Wednesday, 27 February 2013

Lauren Hough with Tackery. Photo by Kenneth Kraus/PhelpsSports.com.Nordic Lights Farm has bought two new horses; NLF Billy On Show and NLF Newsflash. Billy On Show is a 11 year old gelding by Cevin Z, that was previously ridden by international eventer Pippa Funnell before he was sold to Norway. Newsflash is an eight year old Irish Sport Horse by Last News that has been ridden by Canadian rider Courtney Vince.

Both horses will in the future be seen under Norwegain rider  Eirin Bruheim. "I am so excited about my two new horses," stated Bruheim in a press release from Phelps Media Group, Inc. "I have ridden NLF Billy On Show for a week and had some great results in the Low Amateur classes last week. He is so fun and amazing to ride. NLF Newsflash is a brand new horse to me, however I've tried him multiple times and I am really excited about this new partnership. I am looking forward to showing these two horses this year!"

In addition to this Lauren Hough is riding Ben Maher's old ride Tackeray for Nordic Lights Farm and the two have already been successful at the WEF. "I went early in the 1.50m Classic and went too slow, but I am really pleased with Tackeray's progress and I think it's just a matter of us getting to know each other," commented Hough.
