Victories for Pollmann-Schweckhorst and Bruggink in Oldenburg

Photo by WoSJ.The first 2* class of the day in Oldenburg on Friday – a 1.40 speed class – went to Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst on the 9 year old Balermo (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio I). The German rider had one of nineteen clears in this 66 rider class, and with a time of 49.49 seconds he took home the top prize. Jan Sprehe followed in second on Stakki (Stakkato Gold x Silvio I), crossing the finish line on 50.27. Third was Herny Vaske riding Quinaro (Quattro B). Germany and The Netherlands dominated the class – and were the only two countries on the prize list.

In the 2* 1.45 class it was Gert-Jan Bruggink that took the win on Andrea (Marome NW x Voltaire). The Dutch rider was the fastest in the fourteen horse jump-off, beating Danish rider Andreas Schou and the Kannan-son Quimono de la Roque by 0.13 seconds. Then followed Britain’s Daniel Neilson on Varo M (Pierrot x Weinfurst) in third – before it was more Scandinavian with Sören Pedersen in fourth, Nicole Persson in fifth and Henrik von Eckermann in sixth.
