Vigo d’Arsouilles retires

Tuesday, 07 August 2012

Studforlife.com reports that the Olympic Games have been the last competition for Vigo d’Arsouilles. The 14 year old stallion by Nabab de Reve x Fleuri du Manoir will now devote himself to breeding only. Unfortunately for the reigning World Champion, his last competition did not end with the glory he deserved as Vigo had to be withdrawn after the second individual qualifier due to an injury. To studforlife.com Vigo’s rider Philippe Le Jeune said that “I wanted to finish in style with a great Olympic result. Unfortunately, fate has decided otherwise.”

The WoSJ-team will miss seeing Vigo d’Arsouilles perform at the international arenas around the world! Together with Philippe this horse will surely be remembered as one of the greatest showjumpers through the times. Thank you Philippe and Vigo for all the magical moments you have given us!
