Who is climbing on the Longines Ranking?

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.With the new Longines Ranking out – counting results from 1.4.2013 to 31.3.2014 – it's time to take a look at which riders is climbing the most within the top 100. Belgium's Gregory Wathelet has taken himself from last month's rank 26 to 22, while Germany's Hans-Dieter Dreher goes up from 27 to 23. Great Britain's Michael Whitaker has had a good month and goes from rank 37 to 30, and Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts from rank 42 to 36. Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann also moves upwards, from rank 45 to 38 and then another Belgian rider – Pieter Devos – goes up six places to rank 40. Germany's Marco Kutscher did the biggest climb among the top 50 though; going up from rank 65 to 46.

Between rank 50 and 100 Ian Millar went from 63 to 54, Philipp Weishaupt from 70 to 54, Katie Dinan from 62 to 57 and Bertram Allen from 67 to 60. Laura Renwick climbed 15 places and is now ranked as number 62 in the world while her compatriot Guy Williams went up six places to rank 70. Italy's Lorenco de Luca is another rider who did a huge climb - from rank 87 to 75, while Marc Bettinger went from 83 to 76, Andres Rodriguez from 88 to 78, Rodrigo Pessoa from 91 to 82, Robert Whitaker from 97 to 88 and Bernado Alves from 94 to 89.

Richie Maloney, Lucy Davis and Joe Clee step into the top hundred on this ranking. Richie went from rank 111 to 92, Lucy from 102 to 97 and Joe from 105 to 99.
