Cornado NRW is bred by Antonius Schulze Averdiek. And owned by the Nordrhein-Westfälisches Landgestüt.Cornado NRW has a full brother – Cornado II ridden by Christian Ahlmann – also bred by Antonius Schulze Averdiek. Cornado II is two years younger than his brother. Cornado NRW currently holds rank two on the WBFSH ranking. Until the end of 2012 the stallion was ridden by Franz-Josef Dahlmann, before Ehning took over the reins. "He is a stallion, and he is a fresh stallion!" That’s what Marcus says about his fantastic partner. There is a whole story attached to the white bell boots Cornado NRW is jumping with! Read it here!Taking a little nap!Cornado NRW is a crowd favorite!Cornado NRW started winning big last year - and recorded victories in Herning and Verona. This year the stallion has gone from strength to strength……he opened with a World Cup win in Bordeaux in February……then he continued by winning the Saut Hermès Grand Prix in March…
…before he jumped every single class clear at the World Cup Final in Lyon to end fourth.
"Cornado has quality, scope and his way of jumping is incredible. He really is an amazing jumper," Marcus says about the horse.Of the time spend at home, Marcus says; "When he is at home it is more about getting him out several times a day, turn him out in the field – so that he gets relaxed."We suspect than Cornado NRW will show his back shoes to plenty of competitors in the years to come.
