WoSJ Exclusive; My dream top four final – Kevin Staut

Monday, 25 August 2014

In the week before the showjumping kicks off at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, WoSJ asks some of the world's best showjumpers: If you end up in the top four final, which three horses do you dream of riding? Here's what Rolex Testimonee Kevin Staut answered when WoSJ caught up with him during a Rolex WEG 10:10 call.

"First of all I must say I would be very happy if I reached the top four final. One horse I would really like to ride is Steve Guerdat's Nino des Buissonnets. He is a really clever and careful horse, as well as being an amazing jumper."

"The second horse I would like to ride is Ben Maher's grey mare Cella. She is a really bloody mare, and I really like this type of horses. I think she is a little bit the same to ride as my mare Silvana and with horses like that you don't have to take care so much, so you can focus more on letting them go and just try to give them confidence in that way.

The third one would be Rolf-Göran Bengtsson's Casall Ask. I really appreciate this horse. He is now 15 years old, but is still jumping amazing. I think it must be a great feeling on him over the jump, as he jumps very round – it must be a pleasure to sit on a horse like this."
