The fifth and penultimate leg of the 2014 DKB-Riders Tour went to Wout-Jan van der Schans and Capetown (Oklund x Carlino). The class counted 49 horse and rider combinations, and van der Schans was one out of only three riders to produce two clear rounds.
It was a fast second round in Paderborn, and the Dutch rider secured the lead with only 0,09 seconds down to runner-up Abdel Said and Dakota (Cento Lano x Intermezzo) representing Egypt. Third place went to another Dutch rider, Albert Zoer riding Abra Kadabra (Vancouver x Calvados). The fastest ride of the day was produced by Jens Fredricson and Lunatic (Landlord 849 x Utrillo), but four faults placed them fourth.
The final leg of the DKB-Riders Tour takes place in Munich in the beginning of November.
